Harambee is Kenya’s national motto and a Kiswahili word that means “pulling together.” This philosophy encourages people to work together to better their community. Harambee represents an unwritten law of generosity regardless of class, ethnic group, gender, or religious background encouraging everyone to lend a hand to help one another.

The spirit of Harambee promotes unity, inclusion, cooperation, and democratic participation.

By incorporating Harambee’s principles into our work we strengthen communities, infrastructural development, educational growth, and unity for the present and, most importantly, the future.

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them!
